Volunteers are the backbone of our operation and are the only way we accomplish so many things with such a small staff.
CURRENTLY DUE TO THE POTENTIAL FOR EXPOSURE TO COVID19, WE ARE LIMITING THE NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS WHO CAN WORK WITH US. VOLUNTEER SPACES ARE LIMITED TO A SMALL NUMBER OF GUESTS PER SHIFT. PLEASE JOIN US WHEN YOU CAN AND HELP US SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY’S MOST VULNERABLE CITIZENS.
Volunteers help Food and Shelter by cooking, serving and cleaning in our kitchen, helping around the office, taking care of our shelter residents or helping with our community events and fundraisers.
We enjoy the assistance of many church groups, civic groups, businesses and families who come on a regular basis to support our mission. Some groups show up and work here while others collect items within their circle to fill our free store and pantry. We also have groups who come for one time projects.
However you want to be involved, whether it is through our food program or shelter assistance, we welcome and appreciate the service. Community volunteers are the secret weapon to our success.
